A couple summers back there was a major drought in the Portland Oregon area. The trees were suffering. I took many photos over those months, but the trees were in so much distress their faces were stricken and contorted, I have made a portrait from only one of the photos from that time, this is it. She is literally screaming for water. The trees in my local park were in great distress. I tried even to rent a water truck so I could drive around and water the trees, but they were all out fighting forest fires. Finally the rains came.
